Salary
$17.60 per hour.

May to september 2026.

What can i expect to do in this role?
You will

Be a representative of one of morrisburg’s premium and internationally recognized tourism sites.

Provide excellent customer service to visitors at upper canada village by greeting them and providing them with information regarding the site and daily activities.

Operate a cash register, handle cash, process credit/debit transactions and refunds, calculate foreign exchange, complete paperwork, etc.

Perform admission sales and ticketing and conduct surveys.

Assist the photographer by helping guests dress up in period costumes.

Rotate through a variety of positions: merchandiser/cashier in the village store and cafe, admissions clerk and greeter at the front gate.

Work safely at all times and report unsafe activities immediately to your supervisor.

Embody the slpc’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.

How do i qualify?
You have

The ability to work in teams.

The ability to adapt to different situations and work under pressure in a busy area.

Good judgement in answering inquiries from the public, and the ability to entertain guests and upsell products.

The ability to problem-solve and find solutions.

The ability to learn all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal, guest and fellow staff safety is maintained at all times.

À quoi puis‑je m’attendre à ce poste?
Vous devrez

Agir comme représentant ou représentante de l’un des principaux sites touristiques de morrisburg, de réputation internationale;

Fournir un excellent service à la clientèle au village du haut-canada en accueillant les visiteurs et en leur fournissant des renseignements sur les sites et les activités quotidiennes;

Utiliser une caisse enregistreuse, percevoir de l’argent comptant, traiter des transactions par carte de crédit ou de débit, entre autres des remboursements, calculer le taux de change, remplir des formulaires, etc.;

Percevoir les droits d’entrée, prendre et remettre les billets, et mener des sondages;

Faciliter le travail des photographes en aidant les visiteurs à revêtir des costumes d’époque;

Assumer différentes fonctions par rotation : préposé(e) à la caisse et à la vente au marché du village ainsi qu’aux entrées et à l’accueil à l’entrée principale;
