Bilingual Duty Counsel

This permanent full-time role emphasizes high-quality legal services for clients facing criminal and family matters. As part of your responsibilities, you will assess and represent unrepresented clients, ensuring they receive appropriate legal guidance. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide criminal and family duty counsel services

• Represent clients in bail hearings and court proceedings

• Conduct client assessments to identify needs

• Draft and review court documents for legal procedures

• Manage client files and use technology for case management

Requirements:

• Member in good standing with Law Society of Ontario

• Fluent in English and French, legally relevant

• Experience in criminal and family law

• Strong advocacy and interpersonal communication skills

• Availability to travel between court locations
