Security Guard

Job Overview

AFIMAC is seeking licensed Security Guards for upcoming projects throughout the province of Ontario. This is a temporary contract position.

$18.00 per hour before overtime. Hotel accommodations are provided when required, and $30 per diem is paid when lodging is necessary. Pay equates to approximately $1,872.00 per week while on assignment.

• Labour disruptions
• Organized protests
• Man‑made crisis/disasters (crime scenes, structural fires, etc.)

Contract length: 1 to 120 days. Employees are requested to work 84 hours per week, which includes 12‑hour shifts with weekend and holiday coverage. Availability for Monday to Friday, daytime and nighttime shifts, and overtime may be required.

• Valid security guard license in Ontario
• Canadian resident, legally entitled to work in Canada
• Flexibility to travel on short notice within the home province for minimum four‑week commitments
• Ability to work up to 84 hours per week (12‑hour shifts), including weekends and holidays
• Physical fitness to sit, walk, stand, and drive for extended periods of time
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Experience dealing with confrontational situations and de‑escalating with minimal supervision
• Excellent report‑writing skills
