PHARMACIST

Corona Regional Medical Center – Per Diem position located in Corona, CA.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist provides drug information and assists physicians and nursing staff in providing appropriate drug therapy for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. The Pharmacist compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures and dispenses medicines and preparations, oversees medications prepared by pharmacy technicians, and may serve as pharmacist in charge in the absence of the Director.

• Provide drug information to physicians and nursing staff.
• Assist in appropriate drug therapy for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Compound, prepare, mix, manufacture and dispense medicines and preparations.
• Oversee medications prepared by pharmacy technicians.
• Serve as pharmacist in charge when required.

• Maintain competency in all aspects of drug therapy for all age groups.
• Knowledgeable of laws, rules and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Experience with Pyxis and Pyxis Reports.

Minimum 1-year experience as a pharmacist or completion of a Health System Residency.

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm

D). Preferred 1–3 years of hospital experience. ASHP accredited residency preferred.

• Current California Board of Pharmacy – Registered Pharmacist
• Current BLS Certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Current PALS Certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire.
