SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW/LICSW) Locked psych unit for adults Per Diem

Reporting to the Social Service Supervisor, this position provides education and psycho education to patients and their families or significant others to assist them in coping with psychosocial problems related to acute and chronic mental illness and treatment regiments in order to maximize the patients re‑integration into the home and community settings. Responsibilities also include staff development/training, leading process groups, utilization review, quality management and bio‑psychosocial assessments.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238‑bed community hospital network comprised of a 160‑bed acute care hospital and a 78‑bed rehabilitation campus.

It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of patient rights, guardianship, conservatorship status.

Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the field of mental health.

Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field required. Assaultive Behavior Management training certificate required within 90 days of hire.

LCSW license required.

Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required from the American Heart Association.
