This role is part of our Space and Launch business, which has contributed to the nation’s space programs for decades by delivering complete solutions from concept to flight. We enable successful space operations with mission-critical technology supporting every step from first launch to final landing, including launch vehicle subsystems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic and interstage systems, and payload protection and deployment. Our high-performance solutions are engineered to operate in the most extreme environments and meet precise mission requirements.
As Assembly Supervisor, you will lead day‑to‑day assembly operations that support the delivery of high‑quality, mission‑critical hardware for space and launch programs. You will guide and develop assembly teams, coordinate workflows, maintain production standards, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. Your leadership will help drive continuous improvement, strengthen operational performance, and contribute directly to successful program execution.
Responsibilities
- Leads assembly teams to meet production schedules and ensure accurate, timely completion of work.
- Coordinates daily workflow and staffing to align with production priorities and customer requirements.
- Monitors assembly operations for compliance with quality standards and verifies products meet specifications.
- Collaborates with Quality to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment and ensures adherence to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) policies.
- Trains and mentors' assembly personnel in proper techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Implements process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Inspects assembled components and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitates communication across assembly, engineering, production, and support teams to resolve operational challenges.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Organizational and leadership abilities.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, walking, or sitting for at least 8 hours.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of repetitive movement.
- Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands.
- Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level, and below shoulder level.
