Charge Nurse – Acute Adult Locked Psychiatric Unit (Monday–Friday, 11 pm–7:30 am)
Corona Regional Medical Center invites you to apply for the Charge RN role in our Acute Adult Locked Psychiatric Unit. The charge nurse reports to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services and directs patient care activities during the assigned night shift.
Responsibilities- Assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of patients and their treatment plan.
- Provide counseling and education for patients’ families.
- Follow nursing standards of care, policies and procedures to assure optimal outcomes.
- Supervise all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).
- Minimum Essential Experience – Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience required. One year working with geriatric population required. Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
- Minimum Essential Education – Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Assaultive Behavior Management Training – Required within 90 days from date of hire.
- Licensure / Certifications – Current California Registered Nurse license required. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
