CHARGE NURSE:
Adult Locked Psychiatric Unit (Monday–Friday 3–11:30 pm)

Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Charge RN is an RN with clinical expertise who directs patient care activities during their assigned shift. This position provides care to adult and geriatric patients.

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care and treatment plans.
• Provide counseling and education for patients’ families.
• Follow nursing standards of care, policies, and procedures to assure optimal outcomes.
• Supervise all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).

• Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience and one year with geriatric population.
• Minimum of two years acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days of hire.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS (CPR) certificate.
