Navigator Instructor responsible for training maritime navigation, GPS systems, chart plotting, and tactical maneuvering; assist in mission planning and lead practical and classroom navigation scenarios to develop precision and safety.

• Train students in maritime navigation, GPS systems, chart plotting, and tactical maneuvering
• Assist in mission planning using CONOPS, Warning Orders, and Patrol Orders
• Lead practical and classroom navigation scenarios to develop precision and safety
• Evaluate trainee navigation performance during training exercises
• Maintain and update instructional materials and assessment criteria

• Active state driver’s license
• Four (4) years of small boat/craft tactical experience in a maritime environment with proficiency in:
  Maritime Navigation, Tactical Boat Operations, and Military decision-making processes (BAMCIS);
  Organizational and individual planning;
  Tactical Boat Patrol Coordination;
  Development and issuance of Concept of Operations, Warning Order, Patrol Order, and Mission Debriefing
• Qualified Navy Second Class Swimmer or equivalent
• Line Coach (LC)/Range Safety Officer (RSO) qualifications
• Record of PQS qualifications in all CORIVFOR weapons and weapon systems
• Must possess one of the following:
  • NEC 9502/805A Instructor
  • NEC 9518/A12A Professional Development Instructor
  • Completed Journeyman Instructor Training (JIT)
• Physically fit to perform maritime instruction in austere environments
• Proficient in maritime navigation, Microsoft Office tools, and technical schematics
