Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Carrier Hull Mechanical and Electrical Technician with a strong emphasis on electrical systems to join our team. The role involves working on Advanced Weapon Elevators aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers currently in service and under construction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on carrier systems.
- Work extensively on: PLC systems (Rockwell) – advanced knowledge preferred. Electric motors, limit switches, and proximity switches. Multipin connectors and vertical package conveyors. Hangar doors and cableway installations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including troubleshooting complex systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks on carriers CVN-70, CVN-71, CVN-72, and eventually CVN-79.
Pay Range 25/hr to 32/hr
Skills and Requirements- 6+ years of Marine Electrician experience (preferably on Aircraft Carriers)
- Familiarity with: PLC (Rockwell)
- Experience troubleshooting motor controllers, limit switches, simit switches, solenoid valves, and control panels
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Comfortable working in shipyard environments.
- OSHA 10 Maritime Certification
- Multipin connectors certification
