Responsibilities

An SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers, ensuring they arrive at their destination efficiently, safely, and seamless.

What you'll do
  • Deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise, answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each interaction is positive.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Be at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
  • Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license and carry it at all times while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other incidents to garage office.
  • Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when authorized.
  • Have thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g., operating shuttle at an airport location).
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications What you need
  • Education/

    Experience:

    Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • License: Valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.
  • DOT Medical Card: Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) required.
  • Availability: Special shift requirements may vary; ability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, present information to customers and employees.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Add, subtract, multiply and divide two‑digit numbers and units of American money.
  • Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and complete uniform at all times.
  • Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands to handle cash/equipment; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Salary Range: $25.00 per hour (+ tips).
