The purpose of this position is to provide clerical or direct support to the Architecture, Aviation & Automotive department at Del Mar College.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Six (6) months of office/clerical related experience.
- Knowledge of various technology platforms and operating systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Great customer service skills and professional work ethic.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and to take initiative in fulfilling responsibilities.

- Organize and maintain all office files, correspondence, print and electronic data resources.
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
- Coordinate and calendar meetings, training, and events as assigned by requesting materials and supplies, reserving meeting spaces, and working with staff and vendors.
- Answer telephone, process mail and email correspondence.
- Direct incoming visitors and students to other locations on campus.
- Maintain records and generate reports on room use of active learning spaces (ALS).
- Create and manage reservations and schedules for ALS.
- Create and distribute weekly, monthly, and semester schedules for ALS.
- Maintain and stock office and instructional supplies.
- Interact effectively with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, of all levels of ability, or who have special disabilities.
- Maintain positive working relationships and communication with other departments and personnel.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
