Overview

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital South is a 200-bed facility located in Corpus Christi, Texas, serving as a cornerstone of healthcare on the south side of the city. The hospital recently underwent significant expansion, including a newly expanded Emergency Department and a doubled Intensive Care Unit to better serve the growing needs of the community. The facility also includes a Hospital Outpatient Department (HOPD) — a dedicated surgical hospital and acute care center with 170 total beds and a 36-bed surgical center.

Gastroenterology services are well-supported at Spohn South, with four dedicated endoscopy suites on site, two additional suites at the inpatient center, and all outfitted with brand-new Olympus equipment, including two newly constructed state-of-the-art endoscopy suites. The facility also features the latest in surgical innovation, including the da Vinci 5 robotic surgical systems. CHRISTUS Health was the first health system in the world to receive these next-generation systems, reflecting our strong commitment to our physicians and to advancing patient care.

CHRISTUS Health is building a pod of four gastroenterologists based at Spohn South. This team will work closely with CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline, our flagship tertiary referral center, for seamless management of higher-acuity cases.

Christus Trinity Clinic (CTC) at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital System is seeking a board-certified/ board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join our team on a full-time basis.
