• Teach assigned Medical Billing and Coding courses at various times and locations as needed.
• Continuously improve instruction quality.
• Develop and apply diverse teaching methods and materials for students with varied backgrounds.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Evaluate students against course outcomes following college grading and appeals procedures.
• Review, evaluate, and recommend effective student learning materials.
• Provide a written, accessible syllabus that follows the Course Syllabus Guidelines.
• Maintain a classroom environment that promotes learning.
• Record daily attendance and submit final grades to WebDMC and the Continuing Education Department.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two (2) years experience in Medical Billing and Coding and successful completion of a Medical Billing & Coding certification.

• Knowledge of health care fields including careers of Medical Billing & Coding Specialists.
• Ability to plan course instruction based on the approved syllabus/outline to meet objectives.
• Ability to employ various teaching styles to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Ability to use instructional technologies including computers, internet resources, and other media.

• Higher education teaching experience.
• Experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for instruction.
