ADJUNCT – ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESOL):
Teach integrated beginning to advanced ESOL classes in reading, grammar, pronunciation, conversation and composition.
Bachelor’s in English with 18 graduate hours in teaching English as a Second Language.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Expertise in creative instructional methodologies.
- Knowledge of current technology in instructional settings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with students and motivate student learning.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues.
- Master’s degree in Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
- Full-time teaching experience in high school or post secondary ESOL.
- Experience teaching non-traditional and diverse populations.
- Ability to teach multi-level students in one class.
