Provide professional development and services, develop products, and participate in special project activities in the area of Social Studies and Civics that support the ESC‑2's core purpose and strategic goals.

Education Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field required;
    Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate required.
Experience
  • Three years credible teaching experience or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience dealing with at‑risk student behaviors and intervention preferred.
  • Experience developing and presenting professional development through multiple modes using varied media.
Major Responsibilities And Duties
  • Assist in appropriate use of fiscal and facility resources to support program goals and activities.
  • Assist with effective operation of the center and pursue a common vision for the improvement of the center.
  • Develop and participate in innovative practices and programs with the center, LEAs and other agencies.
  • Observe ESC‑2 policies, procedures, and professional practices.
  • Participate in staff development activities, staff meetings and curriculum development activities as required or assigned.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities And Duties
  • Engage LEAs through multiple communication modes to provide an exemplary level of technical assistance and services to each district and charter as specified by any applicable federal grant that funds this position.
  • Assist in planning and developing special project activities (e.g., grant proposals, interdepartmental services, and other customer‑based projects).
  • Develop services and products in area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provide assistance in activities related to compliance with state and federal laws, state policy and regulations, and adherence to ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement, and coordinate school improvement and systemic support efforts to improve student performance.
Program Management
  • Participate in required program meetings/training/events to meet program goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide for appropriate time, resources, and materials to accomplish Center goals, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of program.
  • Assume responsibility for correlation of center goals and objectives.

Salary: $68,379.00 – $ per year.
