About You

As a Youth Ministry and Assistant Religious Education Coordinator
, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The position is a 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You'll bring:

  • strong and active commitment to the practice of the Catholic Faith, with a well-developed understanding of the evangelising and catechising mission of the Catholic Church
  • experience and skills in engaging young people into the diverse works of the Catholic Church
  • an understanding of the emerging approaches to youth ministry and evangelisation
  • commitment to and passion for events such as World Youth Day, the Australian Catholic Youth Festival, and Ignite Conference, as pilgrimages of faith for young people
  • commitment to participate in and contribute to a formation program facilitated by Sydney Catholic Schools
  • highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • group and teamwork facilitation skills
  • capacity to foster and strengthen relationships between the school and parish communities
  • excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills.
  • a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
