his is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Student Assistant assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. Job Description SummaryThe purpose of this position is to provide assistance to welding instructors.
Minimum QualificationsCurrent Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities- Knowledgeable in lay out, fabrication, basic welding and shop safety.
- Able to operate a track torch and pipe beveling machine.
- Able to set up, trouble shoot and operate welding equipment.
- Know proper lifting techniques and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
