GIS Technician II

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a GIS Technician II to support the client in the Corpus Christi, TX area. This onsite position offers excellent benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and long-term career potential.

The GIS Technician II is responsible for producing cartographic outputs, managing and manipulating geospatial data, digitizing or interpreting data from field surveys, and supporting basic map creation. This role includes entering field information into GIS databases and working within Electric Office systems.

• Create, revise, and maintain technical data for reports, maps, and sketches.
• Maintain material, property, and equipment records.
• Gather necessary information from various sources, including communications, sketches, field notes, vendor catalogs, and technical manuals.
• Operate large-scale plotters and duplicating equipment.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure field conditions are accurately reflected in all data.
• Generate reports that extract information from both graphical and non-graphical databases.

• Familiarity with standard drafting symbols and drafting methods.
• Understanding of computer graphics and automated drafting methods; must be able to differentiate colors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Experience with Electric Office is strongly preferred.

• Option 1:
  Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Option 2:
  Associate’s degree in a related field + 1 year of GIS experience.
• Option 3:
  High School diploma/GED + 3 years of related GIS experience.
• License:
  Valid state driver’s license required.
