MEYER is currently looking for an individual to work as a Commissioning Engineer located in Corpus Christi, TX. We are seeking a hands-on Commissioning Engineer with strong technical skills in equipment wiring, PLC troubleshooting, and control system commissioning for oilfield equipment such as BOP control systems, manifolds, pumps, and hydraulic/electrical systems. This role is directly involved in wiring verification, signal testing, PLC/HMI programming, and system start-up both in the shop and at customer sites.

List the duties and responsibilities required of this job position; include applicable leadership responsibilities.
Hands-On Commissioning- Perform electrical wiring checks and verify connections against engineering schematics.
- Test and validate signals, inputs, and outputs (I/O) for PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
- Execute functional and safety system testing in compliance with API standards.
- Perform hydraulic and pneumatic system operational checks during commissioning.
- Troubleshoot and program Rockwell Automation and Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in control logic, instrumentation, and communication networks.
- Calibrate sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
- Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical schematics.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on motors, pumps, and small engines.
- Verify and document system modifications and as-built updates.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and I/O checklists.
- Work closely with Quality Control to ensure equipment meets all functional and safety requirements.
- Travel to customer sites for field commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair support.
