Duties
* You will administer environmental compliance regulations/permits such as the Clean Water Act (CWA), and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).
* You will serve as a technical expert on the installation's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Storm Management Program (SWMP) and NPDES Wastewater Discharge permit.
* You will serve as a representative on matters related to the drinking water, storm water, wastewater, and spill response programs
* You will conduct inspections and self-audits of environmental units and operations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, policies, instructions and installation permit.
* You will develop and conduct environmental training pertinent to permit requirements and installation operations.
* You will review specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance to environmental permits and regulations. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
1) Manages one or more highly technical Environmental programs with no direct technical supervision;
2) Performs self-audits of assigned program to verify compliance with applicable standards for water, waste water, ground water, potable water, air, or hazardous waste;
3) Serves as technical subject matter expert and provide guidance to leadership on matters pertaining to assigned program; and
4) Works closely with office staff, base tenants and regulators to reach mutually beneficial solutions to problems.
