ADJUNCT - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY POOL
Del Mar College - Corporate Services (Department: Dental and Imaging Technology)
Position SummaryAdjunct faculty responsible for both didactic and clinical instruction in radiologic technology.
Responsibilities- For Didactic Instruction:
- Prepare and maintain course outlines and objectives, instruct and evaluate students, and report progress.
- Participate in the assessment process.
- Cooperate with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials.
- Maintain expertise and competence through continuing professional development.
- For Clinical Instruction:
- Be knowledgeable of program goals and understand the clinical objectives and evaluation system.
- Understand sequencing of didactic instruction and clinical education.
- Provide students with clinical instruction and supervision.
- Evaluate students’ clinical competence.
- Maintain competency in the discipline and instructional techniques through continuing professional development.
- Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
- Continue efforts to advance instruction quality.
- Develop and use teaching methods and materials to assist diverse students.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and community.
- Minimum:
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Current ARRT registration.
- Current Texas MRT license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least 3 years of documented recent full‑time radiography experience.
- Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
- Preferred:
- Successful college teaching experience utilizing instructional technologies such as computers, internet resources, and other media.
Applicants must reside in Texas, be eligible to work in the U.S., and be subject to criminal background and reference checks.
