ADJUNCT - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY POOL

Del Mar College - Corporate Services (Department: Dental and Imaging Technology)

Adjunct faculty responsible for both didactic and clinical instruction in radiologic technology.

• For Didactic Instruction:
  • Prepare and maintain course outlines and objectives, instruct and evaluate students, and report progress.
  • Participate in the assessment process.
  • Cooperate with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials.
  • Maintain expertise and competence through continuing professional development.
• For Clinical Instruction:
  • Be knowledgeable of program goals and understand the clinical objectives and evaluation system.
  • Understand sequencing of didactic instruction and clinical education.
  • Provide students with clinical instruction and supervision.
  • Evaluate students’ clinical competence.
  • Maintain competency in the discipline and instructional techniques through continuing professional development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
• Continue efforts to advance instruction quality.
• Develop and use teaching methods and materials to assist diverse students.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and community.

• Minimum:
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT registration.
  • Current Texas MRT license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • At least 3 years of documented recent full‑time radiography experience.
• Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
• Preferred:
  • Successful college teaching experience utilizing instructional technologies such as computers, internet resources, and other media.
