Position Summary:
Medication Techs/Med Techs primarily focus on medication administration and related duties/tasks under the supervision of a nurse and the RN Delegator, following the guidelines provided by Senior Solutions Management Group and State Regulations. This position reports to the Wellness Director.

- Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and SSMGguidelines as directed by the Wellness Director.
- Preparing medications, ensuring proper dosages and administration times, documenting medication given, and monitoring patients for reactions.
- Assist with other patient care tasks and maintain medication inventory.
- Reports any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation to the Wellness Director.
- Responds quickly to all emergencies.
- Maintains close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Provides educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by Supervisor.
- Understands role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
- Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of
accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working
practices. - Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and
co-workers. - Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months
- related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. - Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid, Private Caregiver
- Must be trainable and available for onsite training, medication training by RN Delegator
- Must be flexible with scheduling and have transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts
- Position also requires resident care when not assisting with medication administration
