Job Title: Technology Systems Security Manager
Exemption Status/Test: Exempt/Administrative

Primary
Purpose:
Manages the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Security systems, and Campus Security Systems which includes Video Surveillance and Campus Access Controls for the district.
Education/Certification: Associate’s degree or two years of college-level coursework or training in a computer-related discipline (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
- Knowledge of Access Control Systems
- Advanced Knowledge of Network Infrastructures.
- Ability to analyze and diagnose Cybersecurity threats.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair computer, hardware, and software in a complex networked environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and document complex network activities and configure systems for consistency with district and department policies and procedures.
- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience: Five years of work experience with some or all of the following systems:
Automated systems, personal computer and network technologies, databases, learning management systems, online learning tools, printers and peripherals, a variety of software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, email, Intranet, web browsers, HTML editors, image manipulation software, Power Shell). Access Control and Cybersecurity experience.
- Monitor and repair campus security systems and hardware which includes Video Surveillance and Campus Access Controls
- Monitor and manage network and web security gateways, perimeter security, network access controls, endpoint security.
- Analyze and recommend new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threat or malfunctions.
- Maintaining LAN, WLAN and architecture of the server as per the district’s policy.
- Tracking the vulnerable scripts to avert the potential threats.
- Investigations of Cybersecurity threats and alert.
- Manage Cybersecurity training programs. Submit training program schedules for approval.
- Maintain network switches, servers, firewalls, web protocols and email security protocols.
- Provides technical support for end users on a variety of hardware, and software problems including operating system support, application support, system access problems, and database support.
- Works closely with technology administrators to diagnose and troubleshoot network outages, maintain network configuration for users and their components/cabling, maintain user accounts and reboots servers and routers.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology to fulfill district, and departmental goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Tools/Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs. Personal computers and peripherals, including modems and printers.
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; moderate walking
Lifting: Regular lifting and carrying
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
