LocationCorpus Christi, Texas (approximately 24 months in Corpus Christi followed by placement at Pecos, Texas)
Job SummaryThe Operator's responsibility entails day-to-day assistance and monitoring of unit operating equipment, ensuring safe work practices, preventative safeguards, process hazard awareness, emergency response, and operating envelopes for their equipment. Operators are the front-line workers that help protect our People, Equipment, Assets, and Reputation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Strict adherence to and comprehensive understanding of the Company’s Safety Program.
- Actively advocating for and upholding an accident and incident-free work environment.
- Meeting all environmental requirements during shifts to ensure compliance.
- Proficiently reading and interpreting flow sheets and P&’s.
- Attaining and sustaining various Unit Certifications within designated time frames.
- Conducting visual and physical checks (Rounds) on unit machinery and equipment at least twice per shift.
- Conducting daily inspections of firefighting and other plant safety equipment.
- Collecting unit samples, such as gas, liquid product, tank samples, line samples, waste/effluent water, and special samples.
- Adhering to approved SOP’s for startup, shutdown, inventory, and de-inventory of plant equipment.
- Preparing equipment for maintenance work using lockout/tagout procedures.
- Obtaining and maintaining certification as a Permit Writer for Safe Work, Hot Work, First Line Break, and Confined Space Entry.
- Troubleshooting equipment/process issues in the unit and conducting minor repairs as necessary.
- Accurately documenting and reporting equipment problems to the Supervisor for work order generation.
- Contributing to the planning and execution of Preventative Maintenance activities.
- Assisting the Maintenance Team during unit equipment repairs as required.
- Ensuring daily housekeeping standards are met within the Unit.
- Following instructions from Senior Operators and Supervision and executing them effectively.
- Collaborating closely with other Unit Technicians/Disciplines to meet daily objectives.
- Being available for overtime work as necessary based on staffing needs and workload.
Infinium seeks candidates who are eager to contribute to our decarbonization efforts, possess operations experience or are newly graduated, and who can commit to a long-term role at the Pecos facility after an initial 24‑month period in Corpus Christi. Candidates should be resident or willing to reside in Pecos, TX long-term and exhibit responsibility, energy, and a willingness to learn.
