We are seeking a full-time Chemical Operator to join our growing team in our Corpus Christi (Ingleside) location. This position requires DuPont shifts to cover 24/7 operations, which may include weekends and holidays. The hourly rate range is $28 to $32 based on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Transfers liquid hazardous chemicals from tanks, railcars, trucks or pipeline to other vessels.
  • Inspects tanks, pipes, valves, and control systems and submits report indicating condition.
  • Monitors the condition of the terminal yard and equipment to report conditions.
  • Handles equipment and product in such a manner as not to compromise ISO, DOT and other governmental certifications.
  • Accountable for personal safety, the safety of coworkers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Promotes an environment in which everyone is treated with respect.
  • Records data readings, utilizes plant data control systems, and observes process conditions on a continual basis to maintain good control of the facility.
  • Places systems in a safe condition for maintenance work, supports maintenance activities and communicates status to the facility supervisor and coworkers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years’ experience in loading or monitoring the movement of hazardous materials
