• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days; ACLS is required from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
• Minimum one year of experience in acute care, critical care, ICU, long‑term acute care hospitals (LTACH), or other hospital‑based settings.
• One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience and supervisory experience is preferred.
• Prior leadership experience as an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO), House Supervisor, or Charge Nurse is highly preferred.
• Preferred but not required: prior experience in emergency or critical care environments; higher comfort level working with ventilators, tracheostomies, PICC lines; two years of experience in direct patient care.

• Provide clinical leadership with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)/Director of Nursing (DON) and assume nursing administrative decisions in the absence of the CNO/DON.
• Focus on nursing staffing and assignments, performance evaluation, clinical and administrative decision‑making related to nursing care, and continuous improvement of nursing and rehabilitation care.
• Be responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining quality nursing care on the unit.
