Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) – Texas

Start Date: December 22, 2025

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day or Night Shift available; 12-hour shifts with maximum patient ratio of 6:1

Highlights:

• 22-bed acute medical/surgical unit with specialized neuro patient population including stroke, TIA, and altered mental status cases
• Manage 4-6 patients per shift with support from charge nurses, PCAs, and unit secretaries
• Meditech EMR system for streamlined documentation and care coordination
• Standard nursing procedures including IV therapy, catheter care, central line maintenance, and NGT management
• Collaborative team environment with 30 staff members committed to patient-centered care
• Opportunity to float to other med/surg units for professional development

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1+ year of acute medical/surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Demonstrated ability to manage 4-6 patients simultaneously
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience caring for neurological patients including CVA, TIA, and stroke recovery
• Proficiency in standard nursing skills including IV insertion, catheter placement and maintenance, continuous bladder irrigation, and central line care
