Role OverviewAs a Wound Care Nurse with Bright Star Care of Plano/North Dallas, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients in Scurry, Texas, and surrounding communities
. This PRN opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN who is confident providing wound care and other skilled nursing services in the home.
You will work closely with patients, families, physicians, and our clinical team to provide individualized care while ensuring safe, compassionate, and clinically excellent service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform skilled nursing visits and comprehensive patient assessments.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and ongoing wound assessments.
- Provide PICC line and other IV-related care as appropriate to the patient's plan of care and scope of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient conditions and identify changes requiring follow-up or intervention.
- Educate patients and families on wound care, medications, disease management, and overall health needs.
- Communicate and coordinate care with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation.
- Follow all applicable clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
You're a great fit for this position if you have:
- Current and unrestricted Texas RN license
. - Current CPR certification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Experience providing care in a home health or similar setting preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Previous wound care experience
. - Previous home health experience
. - Experience with PICC lines, IV therapy, or infusion-related care
. - Additional wound care or specialty nursing certifications.
- Experience caring for medically complex patients.

This is a field-based position providing skilled nursing care in patients' homes.
