American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring a TX or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Hospital-based General Surgery unit
• 13-week assignment
• Full time schedule with multiple shift options available
• Shift hours from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, unless approved for a local position
• Previous CHRISTUS employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
