These clinics provide wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion. No surgeries, emergencies, or sick visits occur. Operations are staffed by trained personnel who handle transactions and pet restraints. Clinics operate inside Petco retail locations with appointment scheduling to manage traffic.

Relief shifts cover preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. You’ll coordinate with the area medical director before shifts. Hospitals feature digital patient records, a surgical suite, Butterfly IQ+ handheld ultrasound, digital and dental X‑ray, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, and on‑site labs, staffed by licensed professionals. No overnights or emergency on‑call. The appointment model helps manage traffic.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state‑specific licensing to perform all shift functions, including blood draws & vaccine administration
• DEA registration preferred for full‑service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance plus a license defense policy
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates
