Laborer

As a Laborer you will provide landscape maintenance, irrigation, or construction support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. This includes the safe operation of commercial-grade landscaping equipment and upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

• Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor in landscape, irrigation or construction projects.
• Performs manual and machinery work in preparing surfaces for paving (Landscape Construction).
• Maintains a clean job site; secures the site daily to eliminate potential hazards.
• Performs materials handling and storage.
• Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
• Ensures proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Operates turf equipment: mowers, edger/trimmer, and blower; trims and prunes as needed.
• Prunes shrubs and low trees to improve shape or growth; removes damaged branches.
• Lay sod, plant, mow, trim, dig, rake, prune, mulch, sprinkler installation, and move materials as required.
• Plant and maintain flower beds.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, and around objects safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and manage debris (e.g., leaves, mulch) on the turf during mowing.
• Weed manually or with garden tools.
• Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers.
• Escalate issues to foreman, safety director, or HR as needed.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and core values at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
