Position Summary: Promote coffee consumption by educating customers, selling coffee, grinding and brewing, and preparing and serving coffee drinks, pastries, and cookies.

• Welcome and greet every customer.
• Determine customer needs and suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals.
• Prepare café beverages according to established standards.
• Follow college policy, procedures, and health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Itemize and total take‑out transactions, accept payment, and adhere to cash register policies.
• Stock and replenish merchandise, rotating stock as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness standards during opening and closing duties.
• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Demonstrate integrity, respect, commitment, and ethical conduct at all times.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training.
• Track record of delivering exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and nights.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks during a shift, learn quickly, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate, clean, and maintain coffee equipment (espresso machine, grinder, milk steamer, etc.).

• 1+ year of related experience and/or training.
• Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Certification.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate.
