Primary Purpose
Work under supervision of the Food Service Director to prepare and serve food to students and staff that meet Texas Department of Agriculture Food & Nutrition requirements. Maintain high standards of food handling production, sanitation, safety, and health practices.

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED & Food Handlers Certification

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Always follow all health and safety requirements.
• Understand written and verbal directions to prepare meals.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures.
• Operate large and small kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food service line set-up and temperature requirements.
• Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.

• Be a 'TEAM' player with fellow staff members and school district staff.
• Complete the required continuing education training requirements.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
