Recreation Assistant; Fitness

Overview

This position is located in the Fitness Center, Athletic Branch, Recreation Division of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, Texas.

This position is responsible for the coordination and economical maintenance of equipment and facilities, as well as promoting and conducting a diversified fitness program for all eligible patrons.

Coordinate and maintain fitness equipment and facilities in an economical manner and promote a diversified fitness program for all eligible patrons.

• Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
• Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
• May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
• A valid State driver s license is required to operate motor vehicles.
• Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
• Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds and return them to proper storage.
• Applicant must reside within the local commuting area at time of applying. Local commute is defined within a 50 mile radius of the installation
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
