Overview

As a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role at RNDC by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non‑cash payments as necessary, contributing to the financial transactions associated with the deliveries.

In this role, you will

• Properly conduct a pre and post trip inspection, notating any vehicle defects. Abide by the DOT hours of service rules and regulations for your license type.
• Be eligible for dedicated overnight routes.
• Accurately deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet or hand‑stack from the delivery truck and place said merchandise into the customer account.
• Verify receipt of the correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtain the customer signature and payment if necessary for goods received.
• Ensure the physical security of the truck at all times.
• Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily, up to 30 accounts during times of increased account activity.
• Cover approximately 160 miles daily, occasionally increasing to 200–300 miles during times of increased activity or out‑of‑town routes.
• Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
• Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns.
• May utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours‑of‑service (HOS) software and/or driver monitoring programs.

What you bring to RNDC

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Hold a current Class B CDL driver’s license (Class A CDL license also allowed and may be required for certain locations); meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Maintain a valid DOT medical certification card and file it appropriately with the state Motor Vehicle Department.
• Hold an Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License as required by the state.
