Residential and Program Supervisor – La Entrada

Location: Corrales, NM

Hourly Wage: $24.50 per hour

Hours per week: 40

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; on-call coverage required; weekend availability.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, staff assignments, and support services for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and cognitive disabilities (IDCD) receiving services at La Paloma.
  • Observe, supervise, and aid in training individuals with IDCD in a vocational setting.
  • Ensure program goals and objectives for individuals receiving services and various greenhouse deadlines are adhered to.
  • Assist QIDP’s in preparation of individual service plans (ISPs) and other documents as required.
  • Assist with vocational and leisure activities.
  • Work with the Division Director and IDT to develop and implement positive behavior support plans for individuals receiving services as necessary.
  • Report on the progress of individuals receiving services, assist in the ISP development process.
  • Oversee the general management of the Corrales home to ensure compliance with ICF/MR licensure and quality assurance standards.
  • Train and monitor direct teaching staff to implement and document the progress of individual programs and to evaluate and design the teaching strategies.
  • Manage household financial accounts and allowance accounts for individuals served.
  • Maintain household and files/records for individuals served.
  • Oversee general household maintenance and administer the facility safety program; implement health and wellness activities; model appropriate nutrition, exercise, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Report all incidents of job‑related work injuries/incidents or driving incidents using ARCA’s Accident Investigation system on SharePoint; report staff medical, domestic violence, sexual harassment incidents to the relevant administrators immediately.
  • Provide and schedule on‑call coverage as needed.
  • Review and submit accurate timesheets and mileage forms.
  • Complete required orientation training and ongoing in‑service training in accordance with ARCA policy.
  • Attend training opportunities to enhance supervisory skills.
  • Seek and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance professional growth.
  • Provide information, guidance, and skill training to ARCA management and direct support staff regarding areas of expertise.
  • Ensure supervised staff meet all training requirements within specified time periods.
  • Treat individuals served with dignity and respect at all times; report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, environmental hazard, suspicious injury, or injury of unknown origin to the authorities per ARCA policies.
  • Obtain AWMD certification within one month of starting the position; administer medication as required when other staff unavailable.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality regarding protected health information.
  • Provide support to the team or individuals during emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current valid New Mexico driver’s license with a good driving record; must use an insured, enclosed vehicle.
  • Ability to observe, supervise, and assist individuals with daily activities, including physical guidance for walking, personal care, or other daily living tasks.
  • Ability to lift and transfer an individual in or out of a wheelchair.
  • Ability to provide physical intervention for individuals with challenging behaviors as outlined in the Mandt System.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel to appointments, meetings, and general outings as required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
