We are seeking a Lead Carpenter to join our team at Ark Light Construction LLC in a full-time capacity. This on-site role is based in Rio Rancho and Corrales, NM. The Lead Carpenter will oversee and execute various carpentry projects, including framing, finish carpentry, and general construction tasks. Responsibilities include reading and understanding blueprints, leading a team of carpenters and laborers, operating power tools and hand tools, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Carpentry, including framing and finish carpentry
- Experience using Power Tools and Hand Tools effectively and safely
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead a carpentry team or crew
- Thorough understanding of construction safety standards and practices
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina and ability to perform hands‑on labor as required
- Previous experience in custom home building or significant remodels is highly preferred
