Press Brake Operator –
Great Lakes Data Racks & Cabinets

Work under the direction of the Press Brake Team Leader to perform a variety of forming, punching, and notching operations, requiring close tolerances and dimensional precision.

• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Set up using prototype packet and/or brake process sheet to determine correct dies.
• Form, punch, notch, and align dies per process sheet.
• Set, tighten, and adjust hold‑down bolts, shims, ram bolts, and clamps to obtain required dimensions or tolerances.
• Check dimensions with caliper and make adjustments where necessary.
• Perform in‑process QA and document results as required.

• Form new items/prototypes.
• Move dies and material by hand truck or forklift.
• Interface with other team members.
• Complete related paperwork (quality check sheet, move tickets, etc.).
• Clean‑up equipment, dies, and work areas daily; organize work area and tools required for the job.
• Perform minor maintenance and preventive maintenance on the press brake.
• Perform any other incidental function related to the classification and those created by changes in methods/procedures or equipment.

• Read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.
• Perform frequent physical functions such as walking, bending, pushing, pulling, grasping, and other unnatural positions.
• Stand for a minimum of eight hours per day, on a regular daily basis, during normal shift hours.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a regular daily basis.
• Observe all Great Lakes Manufacturing work and attendance rules and safety practices, including the use of safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, and hand protection.
