Quality Technician

There is an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician in the Quality Assurance Department based in Corry. The position may occasionally require assignment to the Irvine/Warren plants. This is a non-exempt salaried position with overtime pay for hours exceeding 40 per week. The starting wage depends on experience, knowledge, skills, and education.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of product for nondestructive testing and post-test cleaning
• Performing Ultrasonic, Visual, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant Testing
• Performing Hardness Testing
• Performing metallographic and laboratory testing
• Dimensional inspection including CMM methods
• Preparing test reports for customer review
• Maintaining records of calibration and certification
• Calibrating testing and inspection equipment
• Training others in test and inspection methods
• Assisting customer auditors
• Periodic travel to subcontractor or customer locations
• Regular attendance as scheduled
• Working altered shifts and overtime as required to support production

Minimum qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Detail-oriented with a proven work history
• Good organizational skills and initiative

Preferred qualifications:

• Certificate or Associate's Degree in Nondestructive Testing, Metallurgical Fields, or Quality Assurance
• Experience in Nondestructive Testing (UT, MT, PT, VT)
• Experience with Hardness Testing (Brinell, Shore, Rockwell, Vickers, Leeb)
• Mechanical Testing experience
• Knowledge of Ellwood products' nondestructive testing requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Share Point
• Experience in Quality Assurance
