Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Wiltshire | £Competitive | Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a projects and facilities management team supporting a major secure estate in Corsham, Wiltshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-focused individual looking to develop their career within Quantity Surveying and commercial management. You will work alongside experienced commercial professionals and gain hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle, including tendering, procurement, subcontract management, cost reporting and forecasting.

• Assess tender returns for accuracy, compliance and value for money.
• Prepare and issue tender enquiries to contractors and suppliers.
• Assist with the preparation and placement of subcontract orders, ensuring clear scopes and commercial terms.
• Support the development of scopes of work, activity schedules and pricing templates.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
• Support the wider commercial team with procurement and project cost management.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, project teams and other stakeholders.
• Help ensure commercial processes are followed and documentation is maintained accurately.

• Previous experience in a QS, commercial, procurement or project support position.
• Experience with in construction, facilities management or the MoD/secure estate environment would be advantageous.
• An understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise competing workloads.
• Good attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within Quantity Surveying/commercial management.
