- Proven experience as a Dev Ops Architect or Senior Dev Ops Engineer within secure or regulated environments
- Strong expertise with Git Lab (CI/CD, repositories, runners and security)
- Strong expertise with Jira
- Strong expertise with Confluence
- Strong expertise with Ansible
- Strong expertise with VMware technologies
- Experience designing and supporting Dev Ops platforms in offline or air-gapped environments
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and automation
- Experience producing HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, runbooks and security documentation
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python and Ansible YAML
- Knowledge of secure build and release management, access control and audit requirements
- Experience supporting security accreditation and assurance activities
- Architect and implement secure Dev Ops platforms using Git Lab, Jira, Confluence and Ansible
- Design integrated CI/CD solutions for air-gapped environments
- Develop secure software promotion, patching and update processes
- Define toolchain integration and automation strategies
- Champion Infrastructure as Code, automation and Dev Ops best practices
- Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLDs/LLDs), operational documentation and security artefacts
- Conduct technical design reviews, security assurance and compliance activities

We are looking for an experienced Dev Ops Consultant to join a high-profile UK Government programme, designing and delivering secure Dev Ops platforms within highly secure, air-gapped environments. This is a 9-month contract with hybrid working in Corsham, requiring two days per week on site, and it is inside IR35 with a day rate of £650 to £700. You will play a key role in shaping the Dev Ops capability that underpins critical national infrastructure, working with modern tooling and providing technical leadership across architecture, automation and platform assurance.
