Facilities Assistant – Estates Assistant

Join Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services as a Facilities Assistant. This is a permanent, full‑time role based at MoD Corsham, Building 406, Corsham, Wiltshire (SN13 9ET
). The position requires a full UK driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one within six months.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week.

• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including visual inspections of lighting, fire alarms and utility meters.
• Perform minor repairs such as re‑lamplighting, basic plumbing and simple decorating jobs.
• Assist with water hygiene checks, furniture assembly and escort contractors during site visits.
• Maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service, proactively identifying and reporting maintenance issues.
• Support external grounds maintenance activities, including cleaning and jet washing.
• Carry out portering tasks such as moving furniture and equipment.

• Hands‑on maintenance experience or a strong DIY background.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a cross‑functional team.
• Willingness to work a full‑time schedule.
