Job Purpose

The Laundry Operative role is one of active support to operational teams, ensuring colleagues have the correct workwear and protective apparel available when required to maintain food safety, quality and operational standards. This is achieved through the effective receipt, sorting, storage and distribution of garments supplied by the laundry contractor. In addition, the Laundry Operative promotes the correct food safety and quality behaviours and provides assurance that essential food safety information is accurately recorded during taste panels.

Through diligent document completion and record retention, the role contributes to the site's ability to demonstrate due diligence in response to any food safety, legality, compliance or quality challenge.

The job holder is required to be skilled in the use of the QUOR paperless quality management system and be competent in utilising the functionality of QUOR across their tasks, including the below:

-

  • responsible for capturing and sharing key quality data to facilitate action plans in continuously improving the business performance, specifically in areas relating to food safety, legality and quality. The role requires an actively mobile and open verbal and written communicator to all site colleagues and site management staff.
  • Be adaptable to changes in working practices and be able to embrace emerging technology.
