Kitchen Porter

We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Corsham, SN13 9NP
.

This is a part-time, permanent postion working 24 hours a week between Monday and Friday. You will work 7am to 3:30pm.

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

As our Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include pot washing, cleaning work surfaces and equipment, supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks, and ensuring a consistent supply of clean, safe equipment for service. You will also manage waste disposal to help maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. We can offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate.

You will work as part of a small team of five, catering for up to 200 people per day. We provide freshly prepared breakfast and lunch options, featuring a varied selection of international dishes, along with occasional themed days and special events throughout the year.

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organized and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 5
• Be customer focused
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
