Travel L&D RN (Labor Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Shift: Nights, 6:30p-7a

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers during night shifts.
  • Assist in the delivery process and provide postpartum care.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs regularly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations in the labor and delivery unit.
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Utilize hospital resources efficiently to achieve patient care goals.
  • Engage in performance reviews and feedback sessions for personal growth.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Possess a valid RN license and certification in Labor & Delivery.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Demonstrate quick decision-making skills in emergency situations.
  • Track record of achieving targets and demonstrating measurable results.
  • Ability to work night shifts and manage sleep schedule effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems for accurate documentation.
  • Understanding of hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
