There are several ways to submit completed applications and required documentation:

Submit application by USPS or in person to:
City of Corsicana, HR/Civil Service Office, 200 North 12th Street, Corsicana, TX 75110

Please verify receipt of your application packet with the Civil Service Office.

The documents listed below must be included with the application when submitted to the HR/Civil Service Office:

• Evidence of certification by the TCFP or evidence of current enrollment in a training academy.
• Evidence of certification by the Texas DSHS as a Paramedic or EMT or evidence of current enrollment in an EMT class.
• Evidence of certification of National Registry.
• Copy of DD-214 (if applicable) – Applicants with military service will have 5 points added to their written test score (with passing score of 70) provided they submit a DD-214 stating an Honorable Discharge

Upon submitting application and required documentation, applicant will receive a personal history statement that must be completed and returned on the test day.

Do not use the “Download Application” or “Apply Online” features under the Tools section to apply for Police Officer. These functions are not used for Civil Service positions.

All applicants who pass the written exam will participate in a Civil Service Pre-Employment Physical Assessment (weather permitting). A copy of the assessment is available under Civil Service Commission, Eligibility and Exams.
