Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Surgery / PACU (Days)

Human Edge Health is seeking an experienced Travel PACU RN to support a Day Surgery/PACU unit, with approximately 80% pre-/post-operative care and 20% PACU recovery. Only candidates able to work Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts will be considered.

Assignment Details

• Location: Corsicana, TX

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

• Start Date: January 5, 2026 (ASAP)

• Shift: Days

• Shift Times: Variable start between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM, ending at 3:30 PM

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts

• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly

• Floating: None

Call Requirements

• Weekday call:
  At least 1 shift per week, 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM

• Weekend call: 1 weekend every 4 weeks

• Call is shared/split among staff

Role Overview

• Provides perioperative nursing care for same-day surgery patients

• Supports pre-op, post-op, and PACU recovery workflows

• Works closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical services staff

• Ensures safe recovery, monitoring, and discharge of outpatient and endoscopy patients

Unit Details

• Beds: 23

• Patient Ratio: Varies based on acuity and volume

• Charting: Med Host and paper documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years PACU or closely related perioperative experience

• Skills Required:

  • IV starts

  • Admission assessments

  • Medication reconciliation

  • Diabetic care

  • Discharge teaching

  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
