start asap - day surgery/ pacu- 80% pre-post and 20% pacu only sub candidates who can work m-f 8 hours bill rate: $65 shift: days between 6 and 8 am-430pm - variable 8 hour shifts m-f call  @ least 1 shift per wk. Weekend call; 1 per 4 weeks - call is split between staff no floating requirements: rn licensure bls, acls, pals 2+ years experience required beds - 23 patient ratio - varies scrubs - any solid color emr - med host, paper skills needed - starting ivs of of same day surgery pts, basic admission assessment for sds pts, familiarity with type i/type ii diabetic pt's and performance of med rec, ability to perform clinically sound dc teaching for endo pt's and ability to work in a fast paced stage ii environment.

Majority of pt's are outpt. Need individuals who are team players. Sds team is very friendly, supportive and cohesive. Travelers submitted without the necessary information or requirements will be rejected must include permanent home address and ss# on the submission must be greater than 50 miles from facility the pacu registered nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to post anesthesia care patients working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and other personnel by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the state nurse practice act, aorn, and hospital policy and procedures.

The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
