Position Overview

Our mission at Children’s Kiva Montessori Charter School is to provide a vibrant, joyful learning environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic, high‑energy teacher‑assistant who loves children, has high expectations for learning, and enjoys collaboration.

• Collaborate with teachers to provide instructional and enrichment assistance to individual students and small or large groups.
• Supervise students in various settings (classroom, lunchroom, playground, bus lines, field trips, etc.).
• Provide clerical support, including attendance, grading, filing, and other office tasks.
• Assist in maintaining student records (grade records, assessment scores, etc.).
• Provide general assistance to students in non‑instructional situations.
• May administer minor first aid when other personnel are unavailable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Keep records on attendance, accidents, and incidents.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Consult with the principal on responsibilities during the teacher’s absence.

Education and Certification

• High School Diploma and experience in education (required).
• Substitute authorization through CDE (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).

• Regular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; occasional running, lifting up to 10 lb, moving up to 50 lb, and occasionally lifting more than 100 lb with assistance.

Classroom Support: $150 per day.
